Eric Guttmann is an
Active Duty Naval Officer and the creator of Extreme Military Fitness.
Since its inception in 2009 Extreme Military Fitness has provided
effective training programs for busy professionals and gym owners
worldwide, including Cross Fit Gulf Coast in Sarasota, FL. Eric’s
courses and programs have received positive reviews from the likes of
Bud Jeffries, Logan Christopher, and Peter Ragnar.
Through his military experience Eric started to focus on ways to “Live as Long as You Can as Best as You Can” because when people go to war some do not return. Further, the rigors of military life also take their toll on the body and many servicemen jokingly refer to themselves as being “broken” when they take too many hard parachute jumps and injure their ankles/knees or when the rigors of flying ground many a naval aviator due to lower back problems.
This led to focusing as much time on recovery as on training. One of the key areas he focused on was joint mobility which helped him heal a ligament sprain that was supposed to take 18 months to heal in one week. After multiple healings and multiple requests to share his mobility routine with others he created the FULL Mobility DVD and is frequently sought after in Training and Anti-Aging seminars to teach this system. Now he is incorporating Vestibular Reset drills for even greater results that make you grow younger by fixing gaps in your brain/body movement patterns.
Eric has trained in Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Chen Style Taijiquan, Hung Gar, and is a Commando Krav Maga instructor, Elite Combat Fitness Instructor, Elite Kettlebell Instructor. Eric has also received specialized military training in aviation, SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape), and Electronic Warfare.
Eric considers himself a human guinea pig and is constantly experimenting on himself and his trainees by designing and implementing cutting edge training and restorative programs combining the best of American, Israeli, Russian, and Eastern training and healing techniques. The best of the best of these “experiments” become the books and courses that are offered at www.ericguttmann.com
